Support & FAQ

How can we help?

Call and a person answers, someone who can actually fix it. Or find your answer below.

Common questions.

Which speed do I need?

As a rule of thumb: NBN 50 suits 1–2 people doing web, email and streaming. NBN 500 suits busy households and most small offices. If you upload a lot — video, CCTV, cloud backups — look at the business plans with higher upload speeds. Or just call us and we'll size it with you in two minutes.

Can I get every plan at my address?

Not everywhere. NBN 50/20 works on every nbn technology, but every faster plan we sell needs an FTTP connection or one of a limited set of HFC addresses. If you're on FTTN, FTTB or FTTC today you can still take NBN 50/20 — and you may be eligible for a free nbn upgrade to FTTP, which would open up the rest. Give us your address and we'll tell you exactly what it supports before you commit to anything.

Why don’t you quote an evening speed?

Because we don't have an honest one to quote. The usual industry comparison figure is the typical busy-period speed, measured 7pm to 11pm. Our wholesale partner publishes a business-hour figure (9am to 5pm) for these plans and not a busy-period one, so any evening number on this site would be made up. Evening speeds are generally lower than the business-hour figures we show. If yours disappoints you, there's no lock-in — change plans or leave, no fee.

Is there a lock-in contract?

No. Every plan is month-to-month with no exit fee on the service — if you leave, you pay for the month you've used and nothing more. The one thing to know: if we supplied your modem, it's paid off over 24 months and credited while you're with us, so leaving early means either sending it back or paying out the balance. Bring your own modem and there's nothing to settle at all.

If the modem is included, what happens if I leave early?

A modem from us adds nothing to your monthly bill — its cost is spread over 24 months and we credit every instalment while your service is active, so you never pay extra for it, and after 24 months it's yours. If you cancel before then the credits stop, and you choose: post the modem back in working order and owe nothing, or pay out the instalments not yet credited. We tell you the exact figure before you order, never after. None of this applies if you use your own modem.

Can I keep my phone number?

Yes. Every plan includes a phone (VoIP) number at no extra cost, and we'll port your existing number over for free. Note the phone runs over your broadband, so it won't work during a power or network outage — including calls to 000.

What equipment do I need?

Any NBN-compatible modem router that can handle your plan's speed. If you already have one, use it — we'll help you set it up over the phone and there's nothing extra to pay or return. If you don't, we can supply one: it adds nothing to your monthly bill, and it's yours outright after 24 months. Leaving before then means returning it or paying out the balance, so ask us for the figure up front.

What happens on connection day?

Most addresses switch over remotely with no visit needed. If a technician is required, we'll book a time that suits you and tell you exactly what to expect. Either way, we call you to make sure everything works before we consider the job done.

What if my internet stops working?

Call us. A person answers, and we troubleshoot with you on the spot — no ticket numbers, no "have you tried turning it off and on" scripts read at you. Business plans with an SLA get priority response times.

How does billing work?

One simple monthly bill, in advance, by direct debit or card. New connections get $5/mth off for the first 6 months on most plans — already shown in our prices. No setup fees on standard connections.

I'm moving house. What do I do?

Give us a call before you move and we'll line up the connection at your new address so the gap is as short as possible. No relocation fees, and since there's no lock-in you can change plans at the same time.

What does the SLA on business plans mean?

A service level agreement is our commitment to respond and restore your service within set timeframes. Enhanced SLA (on NBN 250/100) and Pro SLA (on our top business plans) get priority support — for offices that can't afford downtime.

What's a static IP and do I need one?

A static IP is a fixed internet address, included free on every plan. Most home users never notice it; businesses need it for CCTV, VPN access, hosting and some cloud tools. Having it included saves the usual monthly surcharge.

Still stuck? Just call.

No hold music, no menus. We stay on the line until it's fixed.
